for P&S Medical Students

Stipend Amount: $3,300


The Summer Fellowship is a full-time appointment for the summer months and will be under the direct supervision of Dr. Brenda Mallory of Rehabilitation Medicine and Dr. John Krakauer of Neurology. Eligible candidates are P&S students between their 1st and 2nd years of medical school interested in For P&S medical students interested in gaining clinical research training related to neural plasticity and motor recovery following stroke.

The Fellowship intends that the student obtain insight into modern scientific approaches to the study and treatment of recovery after brain injury from stroke. Research methods will include motor psychophysics and functional brain imaging. The student will also interact with patients in the clinical setting. It is expected that the fellow will partake in a specific project that is either new or ongoing.
